Dr. Joelle Hood is a writer, speaker, teacher, success coach, leader, energy alchemist, and entrepreneur who champions living life IN purpose and ON purpose. Joelle offers over 25 years of educational and leadership experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and consultant. As a former “Teacher of the Year” and “Principal of the Year,” she brings passion, energy, and expertise to helping humans and organizations thrive. Additionally, she has served as a success coach for individuals and organizations. Though her roles have shifted over the years, her purpose has remained constant – a deep desire to influence, inspire, and ignite people to become their best selves and create space and structures for others to flourish. In addition to her doctorate degree in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC, she also holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Educational Leadership.

As co-founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of Thriving YOUniversity, Joelle facilitates research based coaching, consultation, keynotes, and experiential learning sessions to individuals, groups, and educational and corporate organizations throughout the nation. Her areas of passion and expertise include Positive Psychology, The Science of Belonging and Human Connection, Well-being, Emotional Intelligence, Mindset, Integrating Social-Emotional and Academic Learning, Restorative Practices, Leadership, Cultivating Organizational Culture, and Student and Employee Engagement.

When she is not working, Joelle can be found traveling across the globe with her husband or nestled up at home with her four dogs in Murrieta, California, reading for pleasure and reading to learn more about how to help herself and others thrive.
